I think I was fated to love all things involving comics and nerd culture. For starters I was named after the witch, Angelique, from Dark Shadows. I grew up just a stones throw away from the Puente Hills Mall, or what it's known for ... The "Twin Pines Mall" from Back To The Future. I grew up seeing, and sometimes being apart of, movies and t.v. shows being made. Meandering down The Hollywood Walk of Fame was the only time, aside from Halloween, people got to take pictures and hang out with Batman, Mickey Mouse, and Spider-Man.

When I was 12 I was diagnosed with Severe JRA (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis) and retreated within myself for a few years. I was at my lowest point when I discovered ... Comic Books, my saving grace! I really identified with the character Rogue, from The X-Men. She wanted to be part of society but was always left looking in from the outside. Through this wonderful medium I discovered that life was exciting, new, and accepting of all people ... and it made me want to be apart of it all again.

I just want to write and talk about the things that I love. But, instead of writing about a yet another cheesecake recipe, I'm writing about a few of my favorite things, like: Tattoos, Make Up, Costumes, booze, but most importantly ... ALL THINGS NERD! 

Why I love Comic Culture, how I raise my kid IN Nerd Culture, and most importantly, what it all boils down to is this: 

You're never alone when it comes to Fandom!!!
